Jackie Donnelly is owner, photographer, stylist, writer, and teacher for Spice & Ink. Many other people make enormous contributions–stylists, assistants, collaborators, and subjects. Her simplistic conceptual styling makes her unique. Her specialty is photographing food, products, and other elements of the culinary industry, including the people behind the scenes.

Jackie’s photos have appeared in Food & Wine, Business Week, Martha Stewart Living, Seattle Met, Four Seasons Magazine, and Seattle Magazine, among others.

Jackie began shooting in her youth when her parents bought her a small Instamatic. As a young adult, she purchased her first SLR (Minolta X-570) for documenting her extensive travels. While in Belgium for a few months, Jackie found that she enjoyed photographing the food and restaurant scenes more than anything else. When she returned to Seattle in 2004, she photographed her first restaurant (the now-closed Mamounia Moroccan restaurant) and a new career was born. Jackie now travels locally, domestically, and internationally to find, photograph, and eat good food.
